Illegear Bitbox Adds Nostalgia To Customisable Gaming PC Towers

Illegear Bitbox

You know the brand Illigear from its customisable laptops, but the company does have desktop towers within its catalogue as well. It’s been awhile since the last time the company announced one, and the new one has a bit more of a visual flair to it. Somewhat fittingly, it’s called the Illegear Bitbox.

On the front, the Illegear Bitbox tower has the look of a retro handheld gaming device, or a derivative of a Game Boy if you prefer. On the outside panel is the depiction of what may be either a platformer or a Metroidvania type game of some sort. There look to be purely cosmetic though and doesn’t affect the parts that you put inside.

And as you’d expect from a product from the brand, the Illegear Bitbox has a healthy range of customisation options, though to be fair you’d expect this from a desktop tower anyway. Your processor options start with an Intel Core i5-12400F, going all the way up to an Intel Core i9- 13900F.

For graphics, while there are plenty of brands to choose from, your options generally range from an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 up to RTX 4070 Ti. There is also an option to instead go for an RTX 3080 Ti, if you prefer. Similarly, you can go with a single 16GB DDR5 stick of RAM, or up to four 32GB sticks.

On storage, you start with a single 500GB M.2 SSD, with options going  up to two 4TB drives. In addition to just M.2 drives, you can also have up to two 2.5-inch SATA drives and another two 3.5-inch SATA drives.

For its most basic configuration, the Illegear Bitbox has a starting price of RM4,599. Regardless of your configuration, it looks like paying in cash would net you a 5% rebate, and there’s the option to go for a 24-month installment as well.
