Intel Core i7-14700K Reportedly Already On Sale In Indonesia

Intel’s Raptor Lake Refresh desktop CPUs are expected to make their full stage debut next week, but that clearly hasn’t stopped some defiant and unscrupulous retailers from breaking the embargo and selling them early. Case in point, a Redditor in Indonesia who recently managed to purchase a Core i7-14700K.

The Redditor, who goes by the handle PantatRebus (yes, that is their actual choice of name. Behave now), says in their post that not only was he able to find one of Intel’s latest 14th Gen desktop CPUs, but also managed to buy one straight off the shelf. And while they are free from the shackles of NDAs and embargoes, the retailer that sold them the processor will undoubtedly suffer the wrath of the chipmaker, in one form or another.

PantatRebus even managed to provide some specifications details of the 14700K, along with just one performance benchmark, in the form of the new Cinebench 2024 program. The CPU scored 1223 points on the multi-core test and 127 points on single-core. Specs-wise, we’re looking at an eight P-Core and 12 E-Core configuration, which gives it a total thread count of 28 threads. For comparison, that’s four more E-Cores that its predecessor, the 13700K. Boost clocks are supposedly set at 5.6GHz out of the box.

As for how much they paid for it, PantatRebus says that they paid more 7.45 million Rupiah, which is approximately RM2,243.
