Elden Ring Will Support 60fps, 4K And HDR On PC

Elden Ring gameplay official 2

Elden Ring is coming in early next year, with official gameplay footage being showcased just last week. And since it’s coming out on most platforms, players may be wondering if it will suffer from being locked to 30fps like the original Dark Souls game. And it looks like it won’t as the new cap is 60fps.

PC Gamer reports that in addition to 60fps support, Elden Ring will also support 4K resolution and HDR. Not exactly surprising, since these are all the marketed capabilities of the current generation consoles, and it’s only reasonable to expect the PC version to match them. That being said, if you have a very beefy PC and want more than just 60fps and 4K resolution, you’ll likely have to mod them in.

All that being said, there aren’t any details as to what are the recommended PC specs to run Elden Ring at those settings. Those will likely only get announced closer to launch. And while there’s an upcoming beta for the game, it’s not available for PC players, hence the lack of recommended PC specs for now.

It shouldn’t be too long a wait until those get announced. For now, Elden Ring is slated for release on 25 February, following a delay from the original 21 January release date. The delay was announced last month.
