Many Android phones would have the Google News app installed by default, often also accessible by simply swiping left from the home screen. Though those who make frequent use of this but would prefer to read the latest news in Bahasa Melayu may have found this wanting. If you are among them, then you’ll be glad to know that the national language is now an available option in Google News.

Switching your default language is as simple as heading to the Settings menu, selecting Language and region, followed by Search language. And since the language option is Bahasa Melayu, you will be able to see it near the very top of the list. The company says that this is part if its “commitment to making information accessible to people across the globe in the language they prefer.
