Samsung has announced the new Galaxy M34 5G smartphone, the latest in the midrange M series and the successor to the M33 5G. It is debuting in India and the company is promising four generations of OS upgrades as well as up to five years of security updates.
The M34 sports a 6.5-inch 1080p AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for protection. It runs on an Exynos 1280 chipset and has a microSD slot for expandable storage. As for connectivity, it supports 5G, NFC, Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi 5, and is equipped with a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The back of the phone features a 50MP main camera with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide, and a 2MP depth sensor, whereas the front houses a 13MP selfie shooter. Powering it is a massive 6,000mAh battery with support for 25W charging.
The Galaxy M34 is priced at INR19,000 (~RM1,075) for the base 6GB+128GB model, INR21,000 (~RM1,188) for 8GB+128GB, and is available in three colours. There’s no word yet on the pricing or availability of the phone for the Malaysian market, but we can expect it to have a similar price tag to its predecessor, which should be around the RM1,500 price range.
