ZTE today has announced two new devices for the Malaysian market: the Blade V40s smartphone and the Blade X10 Pro tablet. Both of which feature entry-level specifications and also attractive price points for value-oriented users.
First on the list is the brand‘s Blade V40s smartphone. Impressively, though falling under the entry-level category, the phone is equipped with a flat 6.67-inch AMOLED display that features FHD+ (1080 x 2400 px) resolution, 16M colour support, and 60 Hz refresh rate. Unlike other devices under the same class, it features a punch-hole cutout for its front-facing camera instead of a notch. There’s also a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, while situated beneath the upper camera island on its back is a “breathing” lighting system for notifications and so on.
Under the hood of the phone is a Unisoc T618 octa-core processor with a Mali G52 MP2 GPU, as well as 11 GB of RAM (expandable up to 11 GB via the Fusion RAM feature) and 128 GB of internal storage. Additionally, powering the Blade V40s is an “all-day” 4,500 mAh battery, which comes with 22.5 W fast charging via USB-C. Besides that, it also features Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0 and NFC connectivity, and runs on Android 12 out of the box.
As for imaging, found on the back of the device are two circular camera islands arranged vertically. The upper island features a 50 MP primary shooter, while the lower one houses a 2 MP depth sensor and a 5 MP macro camera. Situated in the display’s punch-hole cutout, on the other hand, is an 8 MP front-facing camera.
Next up is the ZTE X10 Pro tablet which features a 10.1-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels. Internally, it features a Unisoc SC9863A octa-core chipset with PowerVR GE8322 GPU, 4 GB of RAM, 64 GB of internal storage, and expandable storage support of up to 256 GB via microSD.
Other than that, the tablet also comes with dual SIM slots, a 6,000 mAh battery, as well front and rear 5 MP cameras. It is worth mentioning that packed together with the ZTE Blade X10 Pro is a magnetic case, Bluetooth keyboard, and a stylus accessory.
The new ZTE Blade V40s will retail at RM 799 and is expected to arrive in Malaysia by early October 2022. Those interested can pre-order the entry-level smartphone via the brand’s official stores on Shopee and Lazada from now until 2 October.
