PlayStation Access Controller To Launch On 6 December For RM449

PlayStation Project Leonardo buttons

PlayStation first unveiled its accessibility-focused PS5 controller kit called Project Leonardo at the start of the year during CES. The company revealed more about it a few months back, including a simpler new name – the Access controller. Now, the accessibility-focused controller kit finally has a price and a release date.

In the announcement post on the PlayStation Blog, the company also provided a full list of what you’ll get in the box of the Access controller. According to the list, the kit will come with a wide flat button cap that covers two button sockets, two overhang button caps, four curve button caps, eight pillow button caps and four flat button caps for a total of 19. There’s also a ball stick cap, a dome stick cap, and one standard stick cap.

And as you’ve seen from the previous reveals, you’re free to designate any of the available buttons with tags to indicate their DualSense equivalent inputs. For this, you get 23 button cap tags for each of the buttons on the standard controller.

Going back to its price, the PlayStation Access controller will come with a RM449 price tag. While the price has been announced, the controller kit itself won’t actually be available for a few months. In fact, it will only be available once 6 December rolls around. That being the case, the company will start taking pre-orders next week, specifically on 21 July 2023.
