70mai will be releasing its Omni dashcam in Malaysia later this month, according to its official distributor in our market Dasher. Also known as the Omni X200 in China, the device was first introduced to the world last October through a successful Kickstarter campaign.
Together with the Novatek NT96580 processor that has been used in many 70mai dashcams before, the Omni is equipped with a 2MP OmniVision OS02K10 sensor together with an f/1.5 lens that has a 140-degree field-of-view.
With the capability to deliver video recording at up to 1080P and a maximum framerate of 60fps, the camera is mounted on a motor that can rotate at up to 340-degree that allows Omni able to deliver its 360-degree footage. It also features a 1.2-inch IPS display and a built-in GPS module as well as internal storage of up to 128GB.
Through its Smart Voice Control feature, users can use voice commands on Omni for certain actions such as capturing a video or photos as well to aim the camera in certain directions. Via the same feature, you can also interact with Maix The Bear which is the name that 70mai has given to the AI companion inside the dashcam.
The Omni also has several Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) features built into it including the Lane Departure Alert would trigger a voice warning if it detects that the vehicle is straying off its lane. There are also the Front Car Alert and Pedestrian Alert capabilities within the dashcam’s ADAS suite of features.
Even though it has a built-in 300mAh battery, one does need to obtain the 70mai Hardwire Kit to allow the dashcam to work even after you park and turn off your vehicle. This would enable some of the dashcam’s advanced monitoring features.
Among them is the Omni’s Collision Detection which would immediately record footage towards the direction of the impact. The same goes for the dashcam’s Motion Detection feature which looks out for people that come too near to the vehicle and could become a potential threat to it.
To fully unlock Omni’s true potential, users can opt for the 70mai 4G Hardwire Kit instead which brings connectivity into the picture on top of the continuous power supply for the camera. With the kit, users can then utilise the dashcam’s Real-Time Monitoring and Instant App Alert features.
Available in Black and Red, the 32GB version of Omni has a retail price of RM629 while the 64GB and 128GB variants can be obtained at RM729 and RM839, respectively. Customers can also bundle them with a 70mai 4G Hardware Kit for an additional RM180. As part of its launch in Malaysia, 70mai will be offering the Omni at a slightly lower price through its official Lazada store starting at RM599 or RM779 for the 4G Hardwire Kit bundle. This will be available from 27 February to 5 March while stocks last, so check out the store once again during the said period to take advantage of the offer. The post 70mai Omni Rotating Dashcam Coming Soon To Malaysia: Price Starts At RM599 appeared first on Lowyat.NET.
