Acer Malaysia today has announced the arrival of the Predator Triton 17 X for the local market. Like most laptops under the Triton branding, it too features high-performance hardware that’s suitable for both work and play, which are packed in a considerably slim, sleek yet durable body.
Speaking of which, the new Predator Triton 17 X comes with a solid metal CNC unibody chassis with a sandblasted texture finish. According to Acer, the laptop measures at 380.35 x 280 x 19.9 mm, and weighs at 3kg. Also present is a delicate micro-etched RGB Predator logo, stainless-steel mesh covering its six built-in speakers, diamond cut highlights, and vents for its internal cooling system. The latter features a vapour chamber design with Thermal Foam and Vortex Flow, dual 5th Gen Aeroblade 3D fans, as well as rapid-cooling liquid metal thermal grease coated components.
In terms of display, equipped on Acer’s workhorse laptop is a 17-inch mini-LED screen that supports WQXGA (2560 x 1600 pixels) resolution, 250Hz refresh rate, 1000nit brightness, DCI-P3 100% colour gamut, NVIDIA G-Sync, and is certified VESA DisplayHDR 1000. Under the hood, it is equipped with a 13th Gen Intel Core i9-13900HX processor, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 16GB GDDR6 GPU, 32GB DDR5 5600MHz RAM, and a total of 4TB of storage via dual PCIe Gen4 SSDs.
Besides that, also onboard is a built-in keyboard with RGB lighting, fingerprint reader, glass touchpad, FHD 1080p webcam, Intel Killer E3100G+ ethernet and Wi-Fi 6E AX1690i networking adapters, as well as Microsoft Windows 11 Home. For I/O, the laptop comes with two USB-A 3.2 Gen2, two USB-C 3.2 Gen2, dual Thunderbolt 4, a HDMI port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a MicroSD 7.0 card reader. As for battery life, Acer claims that the portable computer is capable of lasting up to four hours while not plugged to a power source.
In Malaysia, the all-new Predator Triton 17 X available now at a recommended retail price of RM18,999. According to the company, the laptop is available exclusively via the Acer eStore, as well as its official concept store in IOI City Mall.
