ASRock Launches New Radeon RX 7900 Series Lineups

Now that the reviews for AMD’s Radeon RX 7900 XTX and XT graphics cards are finally out and out, it should come as no surprise that some of the CPU and GPU maker’s AIB partners, such as ASRock, would already be eager to announce its own lineup of the cards. In this case, the Taiwanese brand has a total of three series, all based on the new RDNA3 GPUs.

ASRock’s lineups include the AQUA, Taichi, and the Phantom Gaming series. Starting with the AQUA series, the brand will only be releasing one card in this lineup, and that is the 7900 XTX. As its name suggests, the card is built primarily for DIY PC builders and enthusiasts looking for a liquid-cooling-ready graphics card. Out of the box, the card comes with equipped with its own nickel-plated copper plate and Jet Microchannel Engine, as well as a stylish acrylic backplate.

Moving down the list we have the ASRock Taichi lineup. Unlike the AQUA lineup, this series will have both the 7900 XTX and XT available and regardless of the model, both GPUs are available in a triple-fan configuration, using a Taichi 3X cooling system striped ring fans comprising a 110mm/100mm/110mm orientation. Additionally, the middle fan on the cards will feature a ARGB Taichi Halo, plus LEDs peppered around the side and back of the card.  Lastly, a metal backplate on the card provides rigidity to the PCB and serves as a passive heatsink.

Likewise, the ASRock Phantom Gaming Series is similar to the Taichi lineup, but is slightly slimmer in thickness. The card takes up 2.8-slots in any system, compared to the 3-slot configuration of the Taichi series. Available for both the 7900 XTX and XT as well, the triple-fan configuration uses the same 3X cooling system as the Taichi, although it is called the Phantom Gaming cooling system in this case.

Regardless of the lineup, it should be noted that all versions of AMD’s Radeon 7900 Series cards are based on the RDNA3 GPU architecture and run on a new gaming chiplet GPU design. the 7900 XTX ships out with 24GB GDDR6 memory, while the 7900 XT has 20GB GDDR6
