If you tried tuning into your unifi TV service either late last night or earlier today, then you may have been greeted with an error message rather than the shows you were expecting to see. unifi has announced that the service has indeed been dsrupted, due to a fire affecting the TM IT Complex in Cyberjaya.
More specifically, the fire affected the UPS (uninterruptible power supply) equipment in the building. The incident happened at approximately 9.50PM yesterday, cutting off the unifi TV service from about 300,000 subscribers. Other TM and unifi services are not affected, the ISP says.

The company initially said says that power restoration is expected to be completed at noon, with services estimated to resume at 3PM. Though at the time of writing, unifi’s Alerts website states that the estimated time to resolve (ETTR) is 8PM.
For those living in Cyberjaya, it’s worth noting that the TMpoint outlet in the area will be closed temporarily because of the fire. The company cites low power supply as the reason for its temporary closure, but did not mention when it will be reopened. If you need to pay the outlet a visit, you’ll have to instead go to the Kajang outlet instead.
