The Steam Winter Sale of 2021 has officially kicked off. As with all festive and seasonal sale events on the digital platform, this is a chance for gamers to purchase some of their favourite titles – many of which are triple-A games – at very attractive and heavy discounts.
At the time of this publication, some of the major titles that are receiving a major discount include recently released titles: the list includes Arkane Studio’s Deathloop, which is currently going at half price for RM125.50, while other titles such as Hideo Kojima’s Death Stranding has received a 70% price cut and is currently RM71.70. Even EA’s Battlefield 2042 is 34% off, bringing its starting price down to RM131.34.
Of course, it’s not a Steam Sale without some special event of gift on the side, and this Winter Sale is not different. Instead of mini-games this year, the Valve-owned console is giving users seven free festive stickers at random, at the rate of one free sticker every couple of days. Obviously, these stickers can only be used in chat.
On that note, users can also take part in the annual Steam awards and vote for their favourite in different categories. For that matter, you’ll want to be quick to cast your vote, as the polls will conclude on 3 January 2022. Oh, and to sweeten the pot, Steam will be giving each voter a random card from this year’s Winter Sale Trading Cards collection, after they’ve casts their vote.
