Halo Infinite Can Allow PCs To Host Cross-Platform LAN Parties

Halo Infinite gameplay

Being an Xbox exclusive, it should come as no surprise that the upcoming Halo Infinite will play very nice with Windows PCs and Xbox consoles. But it looks like the devs at 343 Industries are taking things a step further. The game will play so nice with the two, in fact, that it’s even possible to have cross-platform LAN parties.

This is likely, at least partly, partly due to the fact that Halo Infinite will be released on both platforms simultaneously. 343 also explains that the PC will be the one to host the LAN server, which will allow other PCs and Xbox One or Xbox Series X generation of consoles to join in.

Being a video that’s about the PC overview for Halo Infinite, the video starts off detailing the kind of options you have with the game on PC. This includes settings like minimum and maximum framerates, in addition to the usual manual graphics detail setting. Naturally there’s widescreen support as well, with options to bring HUD elements closer to the centre or further to the side.

The video ends with 343 talking about the partnerships that Halo Infinite has with other brands. This includes licensed Razer peripherals, as well as the special edition AMD Radeon RX 6900XT that you can’t buy.
