AMD Radeon RX 6600 Now Official; Retails From US$329

AMD is officially pulling the curtains back on the latest entry of its Radeon GPU line, the RX 6600. As you’d expect, the card is the GPU maker’s latest graphics card that is designed for the entry-level masses that want a card, capable of providing a more immersive graphics experience at Full HD resolution.

Specs-wise, the RX 6600 houses up to 8GB GDDR6 graphics memory, a 32MB Infinity Cache, 28 Compute Units, and 1792 Stream Processors. In terms of clockspeeds, the card ships out with a 2044MHz game clock and a boost clock of 2491MHz. Lastly, the card has a TGP of 132W, which is considerably lower than the 160W needed by the RX 6600XT.

As for its performance, AMD says that the RX 6600 is approximately 26% faster than NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 2060 on average and trades blows with the more current RTX 3060, in most of today’s triple-A titles. Like all Radeon cards based on AMD’s RDNA2 architecture, the RX 6600 also has access to the full suite of AMD Radeon features, including FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR), Radeon Boost, and Radeon Anti-Lag.

On the subject of availability, the AMD Radeon RX 6600 will be available starting today and retails for US$329 (~RM1370). Like the RX 6600XT, the card will not have a reference design, with AMD saying that it will leave the cooling solutions to its AiB partners.
