Adobe has announced a whopping three new generative AI models during its Adobe Max event. This includes significant improvements to Photoshop’s text-to-image feature as well as new tools for Illustrator and Express.
The first of which is the Firefly Image 2 model, which is the successor to the original Firefly image generator. According to the company, the new model generates higher-quality images of human features such as skin, hair, eyes, hands, and body structure. The images made will also be of higher resolution with more vivid colours and higher contrast.
There are also new tools being introduced with the model, including Photo Settings which lets you manually adjust depth of field, motion blur, and field of view. Excitingly, there is also Generative Match which lets apply the style of a source image to generated images, saving time if you need to stick to a specific style or guideline. Adobe even added Prompt Guidance to suggest better wording to users for their prompts.
Additionally, the company unveiled the new Firefly Vector model for Adobe Illustrator, giving users the ability to generate editable vector graphics using text prompts. Last but not least, there is the Firefly Design model for Adobe Express that generates templates for print, social posts, online advertising, video, and more through prompts.
Firefly Image 2 is available to use through the web-based Firefly beta and will be rolled out to Creative Cloud apps soon. Similarly, Firefly Vector and Firefly Design are also available for you to try out on the beta versions of Illustrator and Express respectively.
