After leaking the designs of the standard and Pro variants yesterday, Steve Hemmerstoffer (aka OnLeaks) has followed up to share the final member of Samsung’s unannounced flagship line-up: the Galaxy S23 Ultra. As you can already see from the header image and the following set of photos included in this article, the top-shelf variant is shown to feature a very, very familiar look.
No matter how many times you look at it, the Galaxy S23 Ultra looks eerily identical to its predecessor. This includes its overall form, display, camera placement on its rear panel, S-pen integration, so on and so forth. Granted, there is a chance that Hemmerstoffer’s renders of the device could end up inaccurate, as he does have a fair share of misses on his track record. Then again, if this were to be the case, it wouldn’t be the first time that Samsung has decided to skip out on the design aspect and focus on upgrading internal hardware instead. But I digress.
And finally, here comes your very first and very early look at the #Samsung #GalaxyS23Ultra! (360° video + gorgeous 5K renders + dimensions) #FutureSquad

According to the leakster, the top-shelf variant features a similar 6.8-inch display as the Galaxy S22 Ultra, complete with curved edges and a top-centred cutout for its front-facing camera. Also visible is a front-firing speaker on the upper bezel, while seen on the bottom of the phone from the left to right is an integrated S-pen, speaker grille, a USB-C port, and a SIM card tray.
OnLeaks adds that the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra comes in at 163.4 x 78.1 x 8.8 mm. In comparison, it appears that the upcoming device is just slightly larger than its predecessor. And while we’re talking about its differences, it’s worth pointing out that – despite its near-identical design to this year’s model – the newer flagship features a less curvier frame. Additionally, the two smaller sensors that are part of its quintuple camera setup are now flushed in the rear panel.
Much like yesterday’s leak, the leakster did not share any details regarding the device’s specifications. That being said, other unofficial sources suggest that the Ultra variant of the Galaxy S23 line-up would also feature the unannounced Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor and with only 25 W fast charging support, which is lower than its predecessor’s 45 W charging rate. And as we’ve mentioned before, renown leakster Ice Universe claims that this particular model will be Samsung’s first smartphone to come equipped with its 200 MP ISOCELL HP1 camera sensor, which initially debuted on Motorola’s X30 Pro flagship.
The alleged Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is expected to launch alongside its siblings sometime in early 2023. More specifically, OnLeaks says the next Unpacked event may take place in January or February next year.
