Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 Carbon Pro

Lenovo has announced two new devices under its Yoga laptop series. The first being the 14-inch Yoga Slim 7 Carbon, and the second being the 16-inch Yoga Slim 7 Pro. Both portable computers will be shipped out with AMD Ryzen the Windows 11 platform sometime in October 2021.

The company touts the Slim 7 Carbon to be the most lightest laptop in the market, coming in at just over a kilogram in weight and 14.9mm in thickness. It packs a 14-inch OLED QHD+ display with a resolution of 2880 x 1800, refresh rate of 90Hz, and an optional  touchscreen configuration. Despite its light and compact form factor, Lenovo says that the laptop is built to survive military-grade durability tests.

Under the hood, customers can customise the Carbon to feature up to an AMD Ryzen 7 5800U processor with integrated Radeon Graphics, up to NVIDIA GeForce MX450 discrete graphics, and maximum memory configurations of 16GB Dual Channel LPDDR5x and 1TB SSD PCIe M.2. Other than that, the new laptop also comes with Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity, Dolby Atmos enhanced speakers, as well as a series of ports which consists of two USB 3.2 Type-As, one USB-C, a HDMI port, an SD Card slot, and an 3.5mm audio jack.

Unmistakably, the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 Pro is the beefier and larger of the two, coming in at 2.1kg in weight and 17.4mm in thickness. Much like the Carbon, its 16-inch display is a QHD+ OLED panel but with a higher resolution of 2.5K and touch capability installed by default. In addition, a 120Hz configuration is available if you fancy higher refresh rates.
