The 2024 edition of the Asia Pacific Predator League esports tourney ended over the weekend, which was when we got the opportunity to get some hands-on time with a few of the products showcased during CES 2024. At the conclusion of the event, it was announced that the next host country for the regional tourney will be Malaysia.
Of course, with this year’s tourney having just ended, the 2025 edition of the Asia Pacific Predator League is still a long way to go. As with the event’s history, the grand final for next year’s league will happen in early 2025. And with that, Acer has just announced that the qualifiers are currently scheduled for late 2024, though that’s about as narrow of a window that we have for now.
As for what games will be part of the 2025 Asia Pacific Predator League, it’s likely Dota 2 will make a return, as it has since the start of the league. Valorant has pretty much supplanted PUBG as the second title, so chances are the Riot Games shooter will be making another appearance. The brand has not announced any details on that front yet, so things are very much subject to change.
It’s much the same for the prize pool for Asia Pacific Predator League of 2025. The league started off with a prize pool of US$120,000, but this year’s edition instead has put US$100,000 up for grabs. So with that, it remains to be seen what next year’s tourney’s prize pool will be like.
