Xiaomi Announces HyperOS Global Rollout Timeline For Q1 2024

xiaomi hyperos global rollout

Xiaomi has announced its plan for a wider global rollout of its new HyperOS Android skin to its older model, totalling nine devices by the end of the first quarter of 2024. The revamped OS was announced back in October and first made its debut in the Xiaomi 14 flagship lineup.

The company has already begun rolling out the OS to the POCO F5 but, oddly enough, not the F5 Pro yet. According to its timeline, Q1 2024 will see HyperOS also being released to the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, 13 Pro, 13, 13T Pro, 13T, Redmi Note 12, Redmi Note 12S, and the Pad 6. The update will be rolled out over the air gradually.

As for the many other models under the brand, the Chinese tech giant states that it will reveal plans for other devices at a later date. HyperOS is designed specifically for Xiaomi’s wide range of products including smartphones, smart home devices, and even cars. It offers a more cohesive ecosystem with lower latency and is lighter than MIUI.

Regarding the 14 series, the company has yet to announce a launch date for the Malaysian market but it is expected to be released globally in January. That being said, there are already rumours that the Pro version will remain exclusive to China.
