The OnePlus Open, the company’s first foldable smartphone, is a highly-anticipated product that has been talked about for months and its name has even been confirmed by the company. It was supposed to launch last month but was apparently delayed due to a change in the screen supplier from BOE to Samsung. Now, a new leak claims that the foldable will finally be making its debut next month.

According to leakster Max Jambor, the OnePlus Open will be launching globally on 19 October, although the brand itself has yet to officially announce a date. If this is to be believed, it means that the company will miss its Q3 launch timeline for the phone, which it revealed way back in February.

Despite OnePlus mostly keeping silent on the foldable, there have been countless leaks on the Open’s specs and design. The latest renders claiming to showcase the OnePlus Open reveal that it will offer a short but wide form factor, similar to the OPPO Find N2 but likely a bit larger.

As for the specs, it is rumoured to run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset with 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, along with a 4,800mAh battery with support for 67W charging. Other specs might include a 7.8-inch 2K 120Hz inner display, a periscope telephoto lens, and the iconic alert slider.
