The Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) has launched the Malaysia Digital Expo 2023 (MDX), a platform aimed at exhibiting the products and talents of the country’s digital economy. This year, the exhibition’s tagline is “Let’s do business. Invest in Malaysia”, aimed at encouraging global investors to back local tech businesses.
Today’s launch was officiated by Minister of Communications and Digital Fahmi Fadzil, kicking off the six-week-long expo that will have 13 auxiliary events nationwide before culminating in a grand finale event in November. The first auxiliary event is the Malaysia Digital Content Festival 2023, taking place at KLCC from 27 September to 1 October, with other events set to occur in East Malaysia, Melaka, and Klang Valley.
The grand finale of the Malaysia Digital Expo 2023 will take place from 6 to 8 November at MITEC, KL with OpenAI’s Zack Kass as the marquee speaker. Of course, there will also be several panels featuring experts in the fields of digital banking, start ups, foreign investments, and more.
For ticket prices, the Malaysia Digital Expo 2023 grand finale conference will cost RM500 for a single-day pass and RM1,200 for a three-day pass, while those in academia and companies with Malaysia Digital status can get the passes at RM350 and RM900 respectively.
