iQOO 12 Specs Leak Suggests 200W Charging, QHD Screen

iQOO 11

The iQOO 11 was launched in the local market late last year, so it should be no surprise that a successor model is already in the works. A few bits and bobs from the upcoming phone’s spec sheet have made their way onto the internet.

This leak comes courtesy of serial leakster Digital Chat Station, via Chinese social media Weibo. In the post, they note a 2K resolution, or QHD, screen with a 144Hz refresh rate, a metal frame, and an ultra-sonic fingerprint sensor. Also mentioned are the OmniVision OV50H and OV64B image sensors, which are 50MP and 65MP sensors respectively. The latter may also come with a periscope lens, according to GSMArena citing a previous claim by the leakster.

But perhaps more impressively, the leakster claims that the iQOO 12 will support up to 200W charging, which is pretty intense. That being said, the capacity of the battery itself was not shared specifically, beyond the comparative description of it being “large”. In a related note, the USB port is claimed to be a USB 3.X.

The post detailing the leak ends with some uncertainty though, as the leakster says that they’re not sure if all these will show up in the iQOO 12 series. This also suggests that there will be more than one model, presumably being made up of a base and Pro version.

GSMArena also reports that other rumours surrounding the iQOO 12 so far include the inclusion of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, 24GB of RAM and 1TB of storage space. Though it’s unclear if that amount of memory is its true value, or inflated via the virtual memory gimmick like the current iQOO 11. The successor model is also said to have a release window of Q1 of next year.
