The vivo V29e has finally made its debut in India after weeks of teasing. This phone is the more affordable counterpart of the V29, but it does come with its own special quirk in the form of a colour-shifting rear panel.
It sports a 6.78-inch 1080p AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1,300 nits. There are red and blue colour options but only the red version can shift into black. Internally, it runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 chipset with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage with a microSD card slot for storage expansion. There is an under-display fingerprint scanner to unlock the phone and for connectivity, it supports 5G, Wi-Fi 5, and Bluetooth 5.1.
The back of the V29e features a dual-camera module consisting of a 64MP main sensor with OIS alongside an 8MP ultra-wide lens, while the front cutout contains a 50MP selfie snapper with autofocus. Powering it is a 5,000mAh battery with support for 44W charging.
The V29e retails for INR26,999 (~RM1,520) for the 8GB+128GB configuration while the maxed-out 8GB+256GB version comes with a price tag of INR28,999 (~RM1,633). There is no word yet from the company on whether this device will be making its way here.
