While we’re still a long way away from seeing the vivo X100 series make its debut, there are already plenty of rumours trickling down regarding the brand’s next flagship lineup. The latest buzz by TheTechOutlook and tipster Paras Guglan suggests that the vanilla model could get an inferior processor to the Pro models.
According to Guglani, the global variant of the vivo X100, with the model number V2308, will feature a MediaTek Dimensity 8 series instead of the upcoming Dimensity 9300. This means that MediaTek’s forthcoming flagship might be reserved for the higher-end models, the X100 Pro and Pro Plus.
Other reported specs of the device include an AMOLED display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate with a single configuration made up of 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. It will apparently be powered by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 100W charging.
Last month, rumours popped up that the Pro Plus might be equipped with a massive 200MP telephoto lens along with a custom-made sensor based on Samsung’s HP3. So far, the brand has not revealed anything official regarding the lineup, but the Dimensity 9300 is expected to be launched either in October or November, so it wouldn’t be surprising for vivo to make an announcement not long after that.
