With this week being the actual Black Friday week, Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced its own discounts for the sale. As usual, you can expect discounts on games – both digital and physical – as well as controllers, with the DualSense PS5 controller being the new center of attention.
If you are indeed looking for a new controller, you’ll be glad to know that for the duration of the PlayStation Black Friday sale, you can get a DualSense controller for RM269. This is quite a drop from its usual price of RM349 ,or RM369 if you’re eyeing one of the other colour variants. This is also only slightly more than the price of a DualShock 4 with no discounts, which has a RM239 price tag. PlayStation is not highlighting any discounts for the PS4 controller, though chances are you’ll be able to find some via video game retailers.
As is usually the case, SIE is also giving discounts to PS4 and PS5 games, with the digital side of things being treated a fair bit better with discounts going up to 75%. For physical game copies, the most notable discount is the PS4 version of Final Fantasy VII Remake, with a price of RM239 getting cut down to RM79 for the duration of this Black Friday sale. Here’s the list of all the physical games that are getting discounted:
Discounts are also extended to PS Plus subscriptions with the Essential tier getting 25% off for a year’s subscription. For existing subscribers, upgrades are also entitled to its own 25% discount, regardless of if you upgrade to Extra or Deluxe tiers, for one-, three- or 12-month subscriptions.
This PlayStation Black Friday sale is currently ongoing, with its discounts in effect until 28 November, which is Cyber Monday. For physical games and controllers, these deals are available at all Sony Stores and authorised dealers, while stocks last.
