ASUS Announces Pricing For AMD B650 Motherboards; Retails From RM919

Hot on the heels of its own X670 Series motherboards, ASUS is now officially launching its B650 motherboard series. Like the X600 series, this series is part of the launch of AMD’s Ryzen 7000 series processors but serve as the mid-range series for gamers wishing to build a new PC around one of the new CPUs but aren’t looking to break the bank.

While we’ve technically covered the announcement of ASUS’ B650 motherboard series just a little over a week ago, the latest announcement now includes the pricing for each of the eight motherboard models being launched today. That list, by the way, includes motherboards from the ProArt, Prime Series, TUF Gaming Series, and ROG Strix Series.

Again, just like AMD’s high-end and premium-tier X670 Series motherboards, the B650 Series will be categorised into two variations: an Extreme variant known as B650E, and a non-Extreme B650 line. Despite being a step below the X670 Series in terms of rank, AMD has ensured that all motherboards under the series will still receive many, if not all of the same benefits that is part and parcel of the AM5 chipset. This includes access to up to 24 PCIe 5.0 lanes, Superspeed USB 10Gbps and 20Gbps, and of course, the adoption of DDR5 as a standard across the new platform.

That aside, we can now start listing down the pricing for each motherboard in ASUS’ B650 arsenal. Starting with the Prime Series, the lineup comprises an A and Plus model. Both motherboards will retail at RM919 and RM1029, respectively.

Moving up the ladder, there is the TUF Gaming series. This lineup also consists of two motherboard model, the B650M-Plus Wi-Fi and a standard, non-M ATX model with the same designation. These motherboards will retail for RM1169 and RM1229, respectively.

For the ASUS ROG Strix series, the three B650 motherboards in this series are identified as the I, A, and F models with the first one being an ITX model. For pricing, these motherboards will cost RM1649, RM1409, and RM1539, respectively.

Last on the list is the ProArt B650-Creator. Like its more premium X670 sibling, this motherboard is aimed towards industry professionals looking for a motherboard that delivers the performance promised by AMDs new chipset, but without some of the gaming-centric features that the other motherboards come bundled with. Price-wise, it retails for RM1449.
