Starfield, the latest game in-progress by Bethesda, is slated for a 11 November release. It was officially announced last year, though it was teased by the now Microsoft-owned publisher since all the way back in 2018. So it’s no surprise that the company has been working on the game since back then. Though now, it looks like screenshots from back then are making their way online.
Posted on the r/StarfieldAlliance subreddit are five images showing what looks like a base in the game. One of them shows what looks like the Starfield player character looking at an unfinished space scape from said base.
The images themselves look really great, even if some of them look clearly unfinished. But from what is finished, the screenshots show high levels of texture detail. Lighting is a little off on the images that look clearly unfinished, but that’s not really a knock on Starfield. On the flip side, that’s to be expected.
But it’s worth bringing up again that these are allegedly screenshots from a Starfield build from all the way back in 2018. After four years of development things are likely to be very different, and hopefully for the better. The game also has about half a year left to polish things up before release.
