e-pay recently announced that its online platform for prepaid reload and bill payment will be discontinued later this month. The platform which is also called e-pay EVE allows customers to perform both types of transactions through a dedicated website and mobile apps.
The discontinuation of the service was made public via a banner on e-pay’s official website. The company also published a notice regarding it on 5 April through both of its official Facebook pages although the notice didn’t provide any explanation behind the move.

It is also unclear whether the discontinuation of EVE has any effect on e-pay’s services for physical merchants. That being said, e-pay’s parent company GHL Systems has previously pointed out in a statement during the alleged data breach incident last year that EVE is a standalone system.
Meanwhile, GHL somehow has yet to announce the discontinuation of e-pay EVE on its website or Facebook page at the time this article is published. While this may amount to nothing and could be just a simple lapse in communications, we still thought that it is rather odd that GHL didn’t talk about it since we believe EVE is a major part of e-pay’s operation.
