NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 3090 Ti clearly isn’t going to be meeting its supposed end of January announcement window but as these things usually go, that hasn’t stopped its rusty pipes from springing new leaks and the rumour mill from churning away. The most recent leak seems to be the alleged price tag for one of their custom-cooled card.
To be fair, custom variants of the RTX 3090 Ti have already made their way out into the wild prior to this. However, since the official announcement of the card at CES 2022, it was only a matter of time before pricing and additional details of the card began making their way online. In this case, the screenshot captured by Videocardz was reportedly taken via two Swiss retailers and a Germany-based distributor, and show the card being sold under the MSI SUPRIM X and GAMING X Trio cooling solutions.
Pricing for said MSI RTX 3090 TI cards start from about US$3571 (~RM14939), while the most expensive model will set consumers back around US$4497 (~RM18813). Needless to say, those price tags are significantly higher than the original retail price of the RTX 3090 when it first launched back in 2020. On a related note, the same screenshot also shows a ZOTAC-branded RTX 3090 Ti at the bottom; that version of the card is shown to retail at a cheaper 2390 Euros (~RM11417), but that’s still approximately 30% more expensive than the RTX 3090.
At this point, there’s still no indication from NVIDIA over the new launch date of the RTX 3090 Ti. At this stage, though, we’re thinking it’s likely to be after the Chinese New Year festivities, which is to commence at the start of February. Fingers crossed, that’ll be the case.
