POCO had recently launched its brand new M4 Pro 5G smartphone in Malaysia earlier this evening. This model is a midrange device which comes with a MediaTek chipset, dual rear camera setup, and a large battery capacity.
Featured on the new POCO M4 Pro 5G is a 6.6-inch FHD+ DotDisplay with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels and a refresh rate of 90Hz, along with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Also onboard are dual speakers, a 3.5mm headphone jack, IR blaster, USB-C port, and a power button + fingerprint scanner combo on its right-hand side.
Powering the device is a 5G-enabled octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 810 chipset, paired together with an ARM Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, up to 6GB of RAM, and up to 128GB of internal storage (expandable up to 1TB via microSD). Besides that, the M4 Pro 5G comes with Bluetooth 5.1 and NFC support, 2.4 and 5 GHz Wi-Fi compatibility, and features Android 11 via MIUI 12.5 out of the box.
On the back of the phone is a rather large camera bump that is akin to the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra – without the tiny secondary screen, of course. While it may look like it offers a total of four cameras, the M4 Pro 5G actually only features a dual rear camera setup. Specifically, housed in the bump is a large 50MP f/1.8 primary camera, and an 8MP ultra-wide shooter. Meanwhile, situated in the main display’s punch-hole cutout is a 16MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.
Equipped on the new M4 Pro 5G is a battery with 5,000mAh capacity, which is a large yet not uncommon size for midrange handsets nowadays. POCO says you can fully charge the phone in less than an hour when using the included 33W charger.
To commemorate its forthcoming arrival in Malaysia this 11 November, POCO will be offering the new M4 Pro 5G at a special promotional price of RM749 for the 4GB + 64GB configuration and RM899 for the 6GB + 128GB, exclusively via its official Shopee store. Outside of this promotion, the phone will retail at RM849 and RM999 respectively.
