Leak Reveals Unannounced Lenovo ThinkBook Plus Model

Lenovo 2022 ThinkBook Plus leak

Lenovo’s ThinkBook Plus series has always been different when compared to the standard offerings under the ThinkBook line. For starters, it is the only laptop from the company that comes with dual displays, with both the 2020 and 2021 versions featuring an external e-ink touchscreen. However, this approach may change drastically for its next-gen iteration, according to a recent leak.

Provided by reliable leakster Evan Blass (aka evleaks) via Twitter is a render of an alleged 2022 edition of the Lenovo ThinkBook Plus. Unlike its predecessors, this model is shown to feature a drawing tablet-like secondary internal display situated on the right-hand side of the laptop. It appears that the smaller screen can be used to mirror the device’s main display, enabling users to control certain features independently such as zooming in to images and so on.

Other than that, the ThinkBook Plus is shown to offer a wide aspect ratio for its 17-inch primary screen, a 60-percent keyboard arrangement, as well as the usual trackpad on the left-hand side. Also shown is a compact-looking stylus, which could likely be stored within the laptop itself.

Since only the front profile of the device is shown, it is uncertain whether it would still feature an external e-ink display like its predecessors. It would be surprising if Lenovo would choose to do so, despite including an extra internal screen for the laptop. Should this be the case, we reckon that the next-gen ThinkBook Plus model would also sport a very, very hefty price tag.

Unfortunately, Blass did not detail the specs for the allegedly upcoming laptop, nor did he mention when Lenovo plans to officially announce it. With CES 2022 looming in close in a couple of months, it is possible that we might see the new ThinkBook Plus debut during the event.
