MacBook Pro with M1 Pro Coming To Malaysia With A Starting Price of RM8,799

True to the rumours and predictions, Apple has revealed a new set of MacBook Pro (MBP) laptops that are powered by equally new in-house processors at its Unleashed launch event last night. Available with 14 and 16-inch displays, one such chip is the M1 Pro.

Featuring a 10-core CPU, users can choose to have it with either 14 or 16-core GPU if they intend to get their hands on the new 14-inch MBP. For 16-inch MBP, the M1 Pro chip for this particular model comes standard with a 16-core GPU.

The general pricing of the new 14 and 16-inch MacBook Pros, as captured on Apple Malaysia’s website at 2:45 PM today.

As usual, the exact pricing of the MBP depends on the components that you choose for it. For the M1 Pro-based 14-inch MBP, the base price starts at RM8,799 which also includes a 14-core GPU, 16GB unified memory, 512GB solid state drive, and 67W USB-C power brick. If you want to go all the way, the variant with 16-core GPU, 32GB unified memory, 8TB SSD, and 96W USB-C power adapter carries a price tag of RM21,199.

As for the 16-inch MBP, it starts at RM10,799 which featured M1 Pro with 16-core GPU, 16GB unified memory, 512GB SSD, and 140W USB-C power adapter. This particular model peaks out at RM21,999 once you choose 32GB unified memory and 8TB SSD for it.
